AI-Assisted Test Prep Grounded in Official Practice
Start test preparation with the exam provider's current practice materials. Use the results to identify specific mistakes, then use an AI tutor for explanations and additional concept practice. Return to official practice to assess your progress; an AI-generated quiz is not an official score estimate.
Paradigm Study can help organize learning topics, explanations and practice in an AI notebook. For a standardized exam, bring the exam name, the concepts you are studying and the errors you want to understand. Confirm dates, rules and accommodations directly with the exam provider.
Separate three jobs in your preparation
| Job | Useful resource | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Understand the exam | Current official exam documentation | The tested skills and administration rules |
| Measure your practice performance | Official practice under the stated conditions | Results within that practice test's scoring system |
| Repair a concept gap | Tutor explanations and targeted exercises | Whether you can reason through that particular concept |
Keep these roles separate. A helpful explanation does not establish that generated questions match the exam's difficulty or scoring.
Example: turn a missed SAT question into practice
After taking an official Bluebook practice test, review a question you missed. Classify the error before adding another drill: Did you misunderstand a word, choose the wrong mathematical setup, make an arithmetic slip or run out of time?
For a setup error, write the relationship in plain language before translating it into an equation. Ask the tutor for a different, clearly labeled practice example using the same concept. Work it without viewing the answer, explain your setup, and check the result. Later, return to official questions covering that skill. Our SAT error log provides a template you can copy.
Adjust the plan to the exam you take
The same error-review method can support GRE or other exam preparation, but their question formats and rules differ. Use the relevant provider's current resources rather than carrying SAT assumptions into a different test. Do not ask an AI system to invent official questions, percentiles or score conversions.
